Description The labor force participation rate is the proportion of the country's working-age population that engages actively in the labor market, either by working or looking for work. It provides an indication of the size of the supply of labour available to engage in the production of goods and services, relative to the population at working age. The series is part of the ILO estimates and is harmonized to account for differences in national data and scope of coverage, collection and tabulation methodologies as well as for other country-specific factors. The dataset was updated as of November 2023. For more information, refer to the ILOSTAT pages on concepts and definitions and ILO modelled estimates and projections. |
