Note
A non-resident private sector deposit, which occurred in August 2019, has been reclassified from "special long-term liabilities" to "foreign liabilities" in the BDL Balance Sheet. Effective February 1, 2023, Banque du Liban (BDL) announced a change of Lebanon's official exchange rate from 1,507.5 LBP / USD to 15,000 LBP / USD. Based on the BdL Central Council Decision No. 48/4/24, dated 02/15/2024, the official exchange rate of 89,500 LBP per dollar has been adopted in the BdL Balance sheet starting January 31st 2024. |
