| Note Starting 3/15/2019 and according to the offsetting criteria in IAS 32 Financial Instruments: Presentation (IAS 32 amendments) and the disclosure on offsetting financial assets and financial liabilities in IFRS 7 Financial Instruments: Disclosure (IFRS 7 amendments) the Central Bank of Lebanon has offset loans with their corresponding deposits originated simultaneously with banks in Lebanese Pounds carrying same maturities. Effective February 1, 2023, Banque du Liban (BDL) announced a change of Lebanon's official exchange rate from 1,507.5 LBP / USD to 15,000 LBP / USD. Based on the Central Council's decision number 48/4/24 dated 02/15/2024, BDL relied on the USD/LBP Electronic Platform rate as of 02/29/2024 equivalent to LBP 89,500. The balance sheet figures as at 10/15/2024 are restated. |
